Most hobs would be 4-burner stainless steel hobs, however some are 5 and 6-burner, and some are gas on glass type.
Before fitting larger hobs, clearances between the hob and any wall units/cupboards above on both sides need to be met and the hob must usually be a minimum of 150mm between any tall unit/ combustible material.

Gas Hobs are usually connected with rigid copper pipe as opposed to a flexible cooker hose although some manufacturers do allow the use of these if it is stated in the manufacturers instructions for that particular appliance.
